Nick France began playing bass guitar just after leaving school in 1980 and went on to sing and play in a series of local bands throughout the 80's. The first shot at major stardom was with the ill fated Birmingham based "Dreddin' The Weddin' " working with top Midlands drummer Pete Isherwood and breathing the same air as The Who and The Style Council for a short time.

For most of the 1990's he was bassist / vocalist with the acclaimed Birmingham based folk/rock outfit "Dewberry Firkin". Over the past 30 years Nick has appeared in bands that have regularly supported circuit favourites including "The Steve Gibbons Band", "John Otway", "The Trevor Burton Band", "Kerfuffle", "Quill", "Soul Survivors" and even played a Monster Raving Looney Rally with "Screaming Lord Sutch". Towards the end of the 90's and into the noughties Nick was also lead vocalist and bassist with Staffordshire based pop/rock band "The Special Stuff".

Since the turn of the century Nick has worked with with Leicester based folk / rock giants "The Fox Hat", West Midlands based "The Rub" rock & roll / rhythm & blues band, Coventry based folk-rock band "Bellatryx", and Birmingham rock bands "Jewels" and "Thirsty Work".  2008 was a great year including two premier Fox Hat gigs with a Burns Night for the Officers of RAF Brize Norton and entertaining the Duke and Duchess of Westminister at their annual event on their Cheshire estate.
 
2014 has been an exciting year so far, having great fun working with The Average Bloke Band, Jewels (playing a great gig at Shugborough Hall for the Great British Food Festival) and guesting with Local bands Classix and Fools Life.  The big news is the creation of Dance Floor Deluxe www.dancefloordeluxe.com a new soul/funk/Mowtown/Northern Soul/disco dance band playing with some fabulous guest artists including Lynzee J and Annes Fraguela. In addition to all of this Nick is also involved in a new project called "Musobility" it's early days yet but there are big plans afoot see www.musobility.com for more information.

Current gear includes a Fender Jaguar Electric Bass, Warwick Corvette $$ electric bass, headless Washburn Status (1000 series) electric bass, Orange Terror Bass Amp, Hartke 1000 Speakers, Yamaha APX - 4A 6 string acoustic and Yamaha AES6250HB 6 string semi-acoustic.

Theatre credits include musicals Guys & Dolls (Lieutenant Brannigan), Copacabana (Maitre D & Pirate King), 42nd Street (Mac) with the Wolverhampton Musical Comedy Company and plays Way Upstream (Alistair) and Alphabetical Order (Wally) with Codsall Dramatic Society plus voice overs for the Lunar Men project at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
